Antisewcial hinges on whether I am being kind to myself and paying attention to what brings me joy and comes naturally. The growth of Antisewcial only happens when I am being authentic and not forcing it. Only then do I look at my work and feel truly content and proud. Hello 2021, and hi to anyone who is stumbling upon this post. How are we all feeling about being back to work? I am easing my way in to a back-to-work routine by completing the custom Pick Me Up Pullover giveaway sweater. I posted a little glimpse of the process of creating a custom Antisewcial sweater in my stories if you want to check that out. Specifically, the process of creating this sweater! A beautiful unexpected mix of gold, light heather grey, flint grey (which has this soft velvety look to it) with white and heather grey striped bamboo cuffs. Like walking in the snow at golden hour. Personally, I’ve never loved partying on New Year’s Eve. I was always the one when the clock turned 12 who wished I was tucked up somewhere cozy thinking about another year gone by with soft Christmas lights lighting up the room; maybe with a movie like When Harry Met Sally playing in the background. I like being in my head today. Other days, not so much. Today I am reflecting and re-evaluating what is serving me or not serving me this year. 2020 was the year to evolve and re...adjust our lives in ways we never thought we would have had to. Wherever you are, whatever your plans are tonight I hope you are safe and full of hope for what 2021 can bring. Whatever you might say about 2020, it made all of us take some long tough looks in the mirror at ourselves, that was good and necessary. You see, that is just like you 2020. To me: Love me You’d think someone who designs clothing and has access to so much fabric would have a pretty kick ass wardrobe, wrong. Every collection I always fall in love with at least one Antisewcial piece and I always say that I will keep it for myself. Then I sell it. I haven’t taken the time to treat myself in a while and found myself stressing over having nothing to wear during the holidays. It’s ridiculous really, a clothing designer who doesn’t have anything to wear! I care so much more about getting Antisewcial out in to the world Today is #selfcaresunday though and I made myself the cutest bamboo striped top. Do you think I should make more of these striped basics in 2021?

Good morning! I woke up to lots of newcomers who have made their way over to Antisewcial from yesterdays giveaway post. Hi! I’m Carolyn, the only one here posting, answering messages, photographing, designing, sewing, and shipping all Antisewcial clothing. Start to finish this is all me and it makes me so happy. Designed for Newfoundland's climate you can pull your pick-me-up neck over your face on extremely harsh days. If you are wondering why my website is sometimes empty or completely sold out it is because I make all of my sweaters in small batches and they sell quite fast. I am clued up now for the holidays but as soon as the new year comes I will be back to creating my next collection in all new fresh colors and prints!
