I'm sharing this out with people, because this is not a message you want to get in your inbox, nor a phone call you want to receive about a beloved brother: He was booked into the hospital on Monday - "Hi All, I’ve been talking to his wife for the last few days, she seems to be doing OK with COVID so far. Our brother is not doing so good, he’s been in ICU now for a while and his oxygen level is as has been shared, puts it almost non-existent, his kidneys and liver have fai...led. They took him off life support yesterday and I guess this means the end. I’ve told her that she is part of the family and that I would call her in a week to give her some time to deal with this as it all happened very fast. Thanks Kathy for letting us know what was happening. J" My daughter was in Emerge with her little one this week, and a COVID case came in. It took 8 attendees to suit up double layers of PPE and then enter into the taped off area where the patient was. A further 4 hours of turning the patient, intubating and getting IV's and blood work underway. Then shrouded they moved them to the ICU. That's what my brother has gone through. And all the while, no family members with them, unable to receive any comfort or offer any final thoughts to their loved ones. This isn't a flu, it's just not. If you have been hesitating worried about your own health, talk to a provider and find out more about this. If you feel you've had Covid and are now in SAFE ZONE, think again, what about the variants, which are more prevalent now? Are you up for another round of it? How much has your immune system been weakened? He and his wife talked about getting the vaccine and opted not to, worried that her health and his heart condition might affect them too much. Now he is gone and she is struggling too. And we can only send love and light and hope he knows how much we loved him and will miss him. Needless. Really.

They say before entering the sea, a river trembles with fear. She looks back at the way that she has travelled, from the peaks, the mountains, the long winding ...road which crosses forests and villages, and sees in front of her such a vast ocean that entering it doesn't seem anything else than having to disappear forever. But there's no other way. The river can't go back. No one can go back. Going back is impossible in existence. The river needs to take the risk and to enter the ocean. It's only when entering the ocean that fear will disappear, because it's only then that the river will know it's not about to disappear into the ocean, but to become ocean. When we meditate we are opening the "chemical" centres in the brain, so we will feel tingles in the body. Often waves of tingles flow, this is when the Endorphins and feel good cocktail of our own body releases and floods the trillions of cells with tingles. Sometimes if you take a breath and hold it just a second or two - with intention it's like you flood the system with the tingles. All the "Supposed to feels" and "supposed to think or not think" I would release for a time..., until you get into the experience of it. In terms of visualizing new futures etc, that's the "thinking mind" the mind that is always active - perfectly ok. It's actually supposed to do what it does, because that's it job. Trying to QUIET the mind or get CONTROL of it, or STOP it... any of that is kind of chasing something down the rabbit hole. Instead take a delicious deep breath in whenever you become "aware" oh I'm thinking again...and just follow your breath. You will find you move deeper into the tingles. And they stop eventually too. Chasing the thoughts and the body stuff just takes a few minutes entry into meditation, however, it can resurface at any time... all you want to do, is know you can shift it with your breath. Amazing isn't it our breath is right there with us all the time, and its the part of this that keeps us connected to this life, the body, all of it. It even keeps the thinking mind alive. And it's just our breath. So you can use your breath anytime you become "aware" - I'm thinking, I'm visualizing, I'm feeling something, ...just breathe...and go deeper into the meditation, into the silence... its just awareness, there are no questions, no shoulds, no things to do or places to be or wondrous visualizations and fun parks to visit, that's all the "thinking mind" and it likes what it likes and you can let it...while you return to your delicious breath... - See more

THE SCIENCE BEHIND REWIRING OUR BRAIN These few steps are steeped in anxiety-reducing strategies that are proving to help better regulate the nervous system and feel less anxiety. If you can relate to frazzled nerves, these may help you too. Mindfulness the Practice of Presence... To be mindful means that you pay attention to the present moment, here we focus on the now, rather than ruminate about the past or think about the future. In fact, the past is over, it’s the one good thing about the past, and the future? Well, it isn’t here yet and there are multiple options coming our way for just about every occurrence. There are varying levels of mindfulness. Mindfulness, being present is a daily practice with intention, and it’s much easier than we actually think. How can you become more mindful? Start paying attention to your breath. Notice it. Follow it in and out. At the same time, be aware of your body. Scan it from head to toe seeing if you can feel any sensations. Feel your feet against the ground or the seat supporting you. Be aware of the space that you’re in. What do you see? What do you hear? What are you feeling? You see, it’s so easy to live in autopilot mode, all wrapped up in thoughts. So, staying in your head actually causes us feel anxious. When I take time to bring my attention to my immediate space, including my body and breath, I can relax. I can remind my nervous system that it is safe. That I am safe As we begin to learn we actually have more control over our reactions to stress and anxiety than we ever thought we didwe begin to grow in that new awareness. Practice Mindfulness when you are calm, then notice how its instantly there to support you in the event of stressors.
