Employers in British Columbia who wishes to hire foreign workers is required by law to register with the provincial government PRIOR and IN ADDITION to obtaining LMIA from the federal government. This policy came into effect on Sep 10, 2020 and was operationalized on Sep 22, 2020. It will remain in effect indefinitely.
