The UCP Government has announced plans to remove the living wall from the Federal Building - after they let it die. Besides being absolutely gorgeous, this AWARD WINNING wall acts as a biofilter for the building and is a wonderful example of incorporating horticulture for practical purpose. Yes, this wall requires a budget for maintenance (as will the mechanical system they are proposing to replace it with), but it offers so much more in terms of aesthetics, positive effects... on air quality and benefits to our well-being. You can read more about the wall below. In our Northern City this is one of the few wonderful indoor green spaces open to the public year-round and it is worth fighting for. Happy Thanksgiving! We will be closed on Monday the 12th for the holiday but we hope to see you next week. Enjoy the warm fall days. A few years ago one of our customers purchased this lovely hand painted cart (thank-you Evelyn for the artwork) and has used it as a focal point for some gorgeous seasonal displays. This is the latest. We love what this family of "third generation Apache shoppers" has done. The cart certainly has a happy home.
