We are so very grateful to Fortis Alberta for choosing us as their holiday charity. In lieu of the Christmas party this year they chose to help the animals here at APARC! With the holidays fast approaching, our animals here at APARC are dreaming of nothing more than a home for Christmas and you can help! Did you know that you can sponsor an adoption fee? What a better way to pay it forward! Our cat/kitten adoption fee is $100 and includes all allowable vetting and a microchip. Our kitties have also made us a wish list to help them to... have the best Christmas possible! They would love: **Kitten Wet food ** Pine based cat litter, cat toys (esp. the crinkle ones) and cat beds to snuggle in while they wait for Santa to come. Good afternoon, Yesterday we activated our enhanced COVID-19 protocols due to one staff member contracting the illness. We are thankful our staff-member is only suffering from minor symptoms, we are not taking the situation lightly. These protocols were developed to limit person-to-person contact in the facility without sacrificing our ability to provide for animals in need. ... - For animal drop-offs, we simply ask you to abide by posted signage outside of our building. - We are still accepting adoption applications, but have postponed all pending adoptions. - Animal reclaims will occur through appointment only. Please call us to schedule your pick-up! We will do our best to accommodate pick-up as soon as possible, it is our priority. Our shelter staff have been using masks while working together, which likely prevented any further spread. We have been working with our partners to ensure any potential contact has been traced. Please let us know if you have any questions!
