Being special vs being effective We are all unique, no one else has experienced your life the same way as you or can see the world through your eyes, therefore we are all unique, and in knowing this, none of us are special. How many of us are waiting to be noticed for being special? The question is not whether you are special, but how effective you are at being you? How many of us go through our life waiting to discover what sets us apart from others? What makes us so differe...nt than anyone else or what do we have to offer the world that someone else hasn’t already offered? We get caught up in wanting to be like someone else that, in our mind, has accomplished or achieved something great and that we admire. We may even try to mirror them. We may try to become what they have become and have what they have. We may even compare ourselves to those that have what we want and end up feeling less than. We may think, who am I to dream of such greatness? What do I even have to offer that even comes close to that? To that I ask this question, what did they have to offer? Who were they to dream of such greatness and achieve it? Who were they to believe in themselves? I believe there is one answer that may encompass all these questions. They defined who they are, focused on their vision and accomplished success by being effective at simply being authentically themselves? Living our life trying to be like someone else is discouraging, inauthentic and often highly ineffective. As we established earlier, no one can be like anyone else, we are all unique in the way we experience life and how we go on to affect the world around us. We may find greater successes in taking on the attitudes and values of those we admire, not what they have done or have become. The tools to achieve greatness are all very similar, the outcome on the other hand, varies and is as unique as you and I. Master being you and you will become the most effective and influential person you know. Stop trying to be like someone else and become completely and authentically like you. Our greatness is not defined by what we keep but what we share. By what we have to offer, only we can define who we are. With L.U.C.K

We can spend anywhere up to a lifetime searching for answers that give meaning to our lives. We search for it in all the worldly places known. We look high and low, near and far, up and down and side to side. We spend so much time searching for these answers outside of ourselves that we most often forget to look within ourselves. We have all the resources we need, we only need know where to look and how to use them. The Story of the Littlest God. It wasn’t long after the Gods... had created humankind that they began to realize their mistake. The creatures they had created were so adept, so skillful, so full of curiosity and the spirit of inquiry that it was only a matter of time before they would start to challenge the Gods themselves for supremacy. To ensure their pre-eminence the Gods held a large conference to discuss the issue. Gods were summoned from all over the known and unknown worlds. The debates were long, detailed and soul-searching. All the Gods were very clear about one thing. The difference between them and mortals was the difference between the quality of the resources they had. While humans had their egos and were concerned with the external, material aspects of the world, the Gods had spirit, soul, and an understanding of the workings of the inner self. The danger was that sooner or later the humans would want some of that too. The Gods decided to hide their precious resources. The question was: where? This was the reason for the length and passion of the debates at the Great Conference of the Gods. Some suggested hiding these resources at the top of the highest mountain. But it was realised that sooner or later humans would scale such a mountain. And the deepest crater in the deepest ocean would be discovered. And mines would be sunk into the earth. And the most impenetrable jungles would give up their secrets. And mechanical birds would explore the sky and space. And the moon and the planets would become tourist destinations. And even the wisest and most creative of the Gods fell silent as if every avenue had been explored and found wanting. Until the Littlest God, who had been silent until now, spoke up. When direction gains momentum it becomes creation. When I am able to find what I value most and focus on a direction to bring me closer to my vision, it grants me greater clarity and peace. I have began a new personal campaign, my first, in an effort to bring about greater change and personal growth so I may be the most effective version of myself. It is a return to authenticity and truth. My campaign... With Love, Understanding, Consideration and Kindness. (L.U.C.K). Love: when it is hardest to do. Understanding: listen with compassion. Consideration: be attentive and with regard. Kindness: be gracious with self and others. It is my intention to practice this daily and make it an integral part of my being. I ask, that if ever it is noticed that I may be out of integrity with these values that I be made aware expediently so I may reflect, correct and realign myself. Thank You for your support.
