Booking now for 2021 winter season.
Update March 21 Winter decided to make a come back , currently 12" of fresh and snowing heavily . Suppose to continue snowing tonight into tomorrow so if your ...able to ride this week conditions are going to be wicked for spring riding. Trails are still in great shape ( rough on the bottom part of brash ) but not much we can do with slush . We will be planning on shutting the Gordon Sydney trail down for a day in the next week or 2 as we will be having a tree faller come in and deal with all the dead standing along this trail and pulling the wood to the cabins so watch for updates on when that is going to happen . Winters not over yet and neither is the grooming so get out there and ride the range . See more

SAR AST training
January 10th 2021
On the afternoon of Sunday, January 3rd, the RCMP asked Vernon Search and Rescue to mobilize in aid of three snowmobilers in the Hunter’s Range area east of End...erby. Communication with the subjects was established, which provided their approximate location, while ground teams were assembled and sent to the scene. VSAR’s sled team and support members quickly staged their vehicles at the Hunter’s Range lower parking lot and initiated their rescue plan. Making their way up and across the mountain, the search team carefully approached the area, aware that the recent snowfall and weather patterns presented potential avalanche conditions. They were able to get relatively close to the subjects on their sleds, then proceeded to walk in the remainder of the way, packing down a solid route with shovels and their feet. Reaching the subjects, they confirmed that there were no injuries, just a few really cold and thankful guys at the bottom. One of the sleds was hopelessly stuck in the creek underneath the deep snow. The subjects had been exploring the mountain together when they got stuck in a creek bed. Despite them working for hours trying to free their snowmobiles, they were unable to extricate themselves and realized that without help they were going to be spending a long, cold night on the mountainside. They made the right decision, and had called 911 requesting help. Working as a team, the VSAR members and the subjects were able to dig out the sled and get them back uphill, out of the creek bed and onto more solid packed trails. Eventually, the Vernon Search and Rescue members escorted the snowmobilers down the mountain to their vehicles. Afterwards the subjects were able to go home for a comfortable rest in their own homes, much better than the freezing, snowy mountainside they had faced earlier. It is important that all snowmobilers (and outdoor enthusiasts) are aware that there is NO charge for Search and Rescue services. Surrounded by such amazing wilderness, many people in BC enjoy getting outdoors and pushing into the backcountry, and should not be afraid to ask for help when accidents happen or when injuries occur. In most cases Search & Rescue volunteer responders share the very same outdoor passions... which is why they are so well trained to help others. They’re ready to go every day or night. 24/7. For free.
Make sure you know before you go!! Posted @withregram @letsridebc Please be smart out there. Avalanche Canada has issued a SPAW for many parts of British Columbia https://avalanche.ca/spaw/2020-12-23-spaw #spaw #specialpublicavalanchewarning #sendandreturn #simpleterrain
