Alberta Party interim leader Jacquie Fenske will be in Grande Prairie next week. Along with the President and other members of the provincial board. We are doing a meet and greet and fundraiser for those interested in what the party has been doing behind the scenes and what we are working on, the upcoming AGM and many other things. It's going to be outdoors, with a light dinner provided.

This was all public at the time, so nothing was hidden... but here is how the benefits have played out. Something to consider is that the economy was already on its way into a recession ...prior to the pandemic, of course the pandemic has exacerbated the economic impact... pushing for many to 'open the economy quickly. What was the ask? Cancelling all recent labour code legislation; Cancelling all occupational safety legislation; Indefinitely freezing the minimum wage in Alberta; Tax cuts for business owners. Banning Right Hand Drive Vehicles So how has this impacted the industry? According to Press Progress and the attached publicly available stats... Well in Kenney's first month in office 22696 new vehicles were sold in Alberta. By March the UCP government policy had triggered a recession which caused sales to plummet to 11,411 new vehicles sold a month in Alberta. Then covid happened and by April sales were down to 8,201 new vehicles. A 64% drop in new vehicle sales. You would have to go back to February 1994 to find a month with fewer new vehicle sales. 1994. The Alberta Party wants all Albertans to succeed, UCP austerity and uncertainty drive away investment and has caused all sectors to suffer deeper than other provinces. Join us at www.albertaparty.ca
