Wavelength Music Series MORGAN DOCTOR is the coolest, but you probably know that already. You can catch a trippy rendition of "White Christmas" from Morgan and Caylie Staples at The Wavelength Holiday Special next Thursday, December 17th at 7pm on our YouTube channel. ... But more about Morgan! Morgan Doctor is a Juno and Dora nominated performer and creator. She has drummed with Jill Barber, Andy Kim, The Cliks (Warner/Tommyboy), Chantal Kreviazuk, Raine Maida, Ron Sexsmith, Kevin Drew, Alex Lifeson, Feist, Sandra Bernhard and many others. Morgan Doctor has performed and appeared on live National TV (MTV Live, David Letterman, MTV Cribs, MTV Total Request Live, IFC, CNN, Craig Ferguson, etc) and live radio shows, awards ceremonies, TV and radio commercials, sold out theaters and arenas, music videos, and countless full length albums. Morgan is a big advocate of music education and teaches at Girls Rock Camp Toronto as a drum instructor and band coach. In 2006 Morgan signed with Aporia and has released four solo albums. Her most recent release, Strangers, explores the actions of connecting and disconnecting, and the fragile boundary between intimacy and estrangement. Morgan is endorsed by Zildjian Company, Vicfirth Drum Sticks, Yamaha Drums, Evans Drumheads, Steinberg and Humes & Berg Mfg Co Inc. She has also appeared in Modern Drummer Magazine and is a regular contributor to Tom Tom Magazine. She is a Banff Centre Musician in Residence alumni. See more

Thanks for including MORGAN DOCTOR's "Strangers V" video in your latest "Beyond Boundaries" playlist, Last Day Deaf! "Quick pitch: Slow, ambientish, down-tempo intro with choral field recordings that builds up to a shoegaze-y outro" Couldn't have put it better ourselves!
Hey all you AppleMusic subscribers, MORGAN DOCTOR's "Strangers V" video is out today in gorgeous high-quality ProRes format. Thank you, Olinka Cervantes, for helping to bring this song to life through dance.

Tome To The Weather Machine on "They Found Me": "Kinnie Starr’s work for the soundtrack of Edge of the Knife is a deeply unsettling study of tension and stasis. Telling the story of a young man driven to madness by the spirit of the forest, Kinnie Starr’s deep organic drones, pitch-shifted vocals and wordless cries create a vivid place-making all themselves." Edge of the Knife
"...'Strangers II' features Kent’s cello as the minimal backbone to the composition before folding in live and electronic percussion, a subterranean bass line and experimental electronic elements, lighting the composition from the inside with a warm glow." Thank you Tome To The Weather Machine, for the kind words!
Happy Halloween!
