Dear Appleby Dental Patients, The safety of our patients and staff has always been our top priority. As of this evening, new guidelines have been published by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) which state The RCDSO strongly recommends that all non-essential and elective dental services should be suspended immediately. Dear Appleby Dental Patients, Just like you, we are closely monitoring new developments regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus). The health and safety of our patients and employees is of the utmost importance. We are committed to doing everything we can to make Appleby Dental a clean and safe environment to receive your dental care.... Therefore, we've decided to raise our already high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. You can count on us to be a leader in meeting the challenge of the coronavirus. What We Are Doing: We have implemented several new policies and procedures, which follow recommendations from the Ontario Ministry of Health (MOH) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are also taking direction from the Ontario Dental Association (ODA), the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) and the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO) and updating our practices accordingly in real time. Measures being taken include Hand sanitizers located in each operatory, reception desk and at side tables in the reception area. Sanitizers are checked and refilled regularly. Public touch points such as counters, sinks, reception area, kid’s play area, door handles and knobs are cleaned multiple times throughout the day. Both actively screening (asking questions) and passively screening (signage) our patients for potential disease with instructions to reschedule if necessary. Waiving short-notice cancellation fees for patients who are ill. Toys have been removed from the kid’s play area. We have updated our TV to play child friendly movies for entertainment. All employees are prohibited from reporting to work with signs or symptoms of a respiratory illness that can be transmitted to others. Maintaining the standards of practice regarding Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) as mandated by the RCDSO. To assist us with our containment efforts, please contact our office to reschedule your appointment if: You feel unwell, have a fever, cough, cold or flu-like symptoms. If you have recently travelled outside of the country. You have been in close contact with someone with a known or suspected case of COVID-19 (coronavirus). We also ask that you please wash your hands upon arrival using alcohol-based hand sanitizer or soap/water provided. The safety of our patients and staff has always been our highest priority. We will continue to monitor the situation and be vigilant with updating our policies as necessary so you can continue to receive dental care in a safe environment. Please contact our office at 905-331-7654 if you have any questions or require further clarification. We thank you for your patience during these trying times and for giving Appleby Dental the privilege of being your dental care provider. Sincerely, Dr. Sherri Hill Dr. Paul Mytnowych

It is with GREAT honor and a privilege to proudly announce that the dentists and staff at Appleby Dental have successfully sponsored a family of 4 this Holiday Season. We came together and purchased EVERYTHING the family put down on their wish list. In addition, we donated 20 boxes of diapers to the Halton Women's Shelter. It is truly wonderful to see people come together to help those less fortunate in their very own community. Thank you to all who participated and helped out in this wonderful cause. This will definitely be a yearly participation. We have an amazing staff!!! Have a great weekend everyone!
