Shane Vollant-Einish enjoyed his first time on a horse with Irinel Agapow providing encouraging words. The first day of the stockmanship clinic had beginning riders gaining confidence with irinel while the more experienced riders worked with Gord Colliar and began working cattle provided by asur alumni Aaron Herrick.

It was a great Stockmanship Clinic again this year for our new cohort of first year students who learned from Gord Colliar of Zoetis. Many thanks to our sponsors of this event, Zoetis for providing the time for Gord to work with the students for a couple of days, Williams Lake Stampede Association for providing the great facilities and Pablo Mountain Ranch for supplying the heifers to work with.

It was great to have Brian Garland come by our 2020 Stockmanship Clinic today to meet the new class of students. Brian has been a huge supporter of the ASUR Program since its inception. Here is a photo of Gillian Watt, Brian Garland, and Liam Dennison, who won the Cariboo GM Bull Pen Award this past summer, for his top business plan presentation. Liam has now graduated from the program but popped by to thank Brian for the award, and meet the new cohort of students.
