YES...this is my first leadership book where I share practical ways to lead yourself and others. Along with my story and lessons learned along the way. Having a positive effect on people lifts them up; this is something we should all consider as we interact with others on our path. A good leader or just good person would want to encourage, listen, and show kindness towards others. Think about your effect on others and what you want it to be.

When you lead others, how you show up really matters. Energy can be felt more than you know. What effect are you having on those around you? Think about what you want to create and then lead by example. If you are grumpy, your team will be the same.... SO SMILE, BE HAPPY and SHINE. See more

Many women struggle with this. Working so hard to prove your worth may get you noticed, but at what cost? Spend time appreciating who you are, finding what makes you special, and stopping working so hard that you have nothing left to give to your family. Leading teams is a gift, but so is your family, so make time and create balance.

This is an important question to ponder. Being in service to others is the highest calling of a leader - however, ensuring you take time to LEAD and get your own tasks and to-dos completed is important. Balance and prioritize your list and your teams and work together to make the magic happen.

Leadership is about being open to learn and grow. Experience is valuable and you should use your knowledge and lessons learned to help you in the future. However, don't forget to allow others around you to share their learnings and experiences...this will supercharge yours and combined will allow you to lead your team well. Be open-minded, your experience isn't more valuable than others - but combined WOW!
