It's getting close to "that" time of year again, and by that I mean the dreaded flu season. Did you know that massage therapy can be beneficial in the recovery stages of a cold/flu? When presenting with a fever or the beginning stages of your illness, however, no massage is recommended or will be performed. After being congested "steams" can be very beneficial while incorporating essential oils (eucalyptus, camphor) that will help your lungs and sinuses. Combine a steam with... tapotement of the upper back and it really helps loosen up trapped mucus. Massage increases the flow of blood AND lymph which will help the body get its cells circulating and get the viruses where they need to go for the body to effectively terminate them. And as we all know massages help you to relax, and the absence of stress allows the body to operate more effectively.

Massage Therapists help you in feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, but we have also had extensive training in Osteopathic based assessments and treatments of musculo-skeletal (muscle & bone) conditions. If you have chronic pain or are rehabing an injury/surgery massage therapy may be very beneficial in your recovery.

I am taking bookings in the Parkland area (Gilbert Plains, Dauphin, Grandview, even Roblin or Ethelbert) from Sunday August 12th until Tuesday August 14th. I understand the demands of time from day to day life so I do not have a scheduled "Hours of Operation." Text/call me and I will do my best to accommodate your schedule. 204-621-6114 A few updates: I am a provider with Blue Cross, so I can give you my provider number OR direct bill. My application for other major insurance... companies is in the processing stage. As of right now, only cheque or cash are accepted but in the very near future (5 business days max) debit and all major credit cards will be accepted. There is still a $0 mobile charge for ALL first time clients, and there will be NO MOBILE FEE for clients within the town of Gilbert Plains. Thank you!

Progress is being made! I am now a registered provider with Blue Cross! Direct billing is not quite yet available but will be the next step!

****UPDATE**** After some review and consideration it has been decided that the mobile fee will be adjusted to $1/1 minute of driving time one way. If it takes me 15 minutes get to you then your fee is $15 + 5% GST. If it takes me 60 minutes to you the cost is $60 + 5% GST. All mobile fees will be waived for people living IN the town of Gilbert Plains.
