6 years ago today: Devon and I presented Aqua-Guards newest oil spill response technology to the International Tankers owners pollution federation here in London yesterday. Followed by a good discussion around training and the importance of protecting the arctic.

Aqua-Guard is deemed an essential service and therefore our production and deliveries have fortunately not been hampered by Covid-19. We recently secured and delivered two large contracts to the Canadian Coast Guard and the Western Canada Marine Response Corp (WCMRC). The newest contracts included supply of both RBS TRITON 60 and RBS TRITON 20 skimming systems developed to the ASTM F631-2015 standard that may be of interest to OSRO’s around the globe. The newest RBS TRITON 20 It is very compact, can be transported by one person and has a very high recovery capacity/oil to water efficiency. 10 years ago this week: USA: GULF OF MEXICO OIL LEAK CONTINUES UNABATED May 28, 2010 - BP's three-day effort to throttle the leaking gulf oil well with multiple blasts of heavy mud has failed. The attempted "top kill" of the well was abandoned late Saturday afternoon, leaving the huge Macondo field deep beneath the sea floor once again free to pump at least half a million gallons of crude a day into the gulf. "I can say we tried. But what I can also say is this scares everybody, the fact that we can't make this well stop flowing, or haven't succeeded in that so far," Doug Suttles, BP's chief operating officer, said in a late-day news conference.
