Sony Phùng, a St. Thomas University student from Vietnam, was raised in a Buddhist family. She said Christianity is uncommon in her small town of Hue and only Christian households and churches decorate trees, but there are nativity scenes made of clay placed throughout the city. [Christmas] isn’t really important, or anything really prominent to us, but it's a great excuse to just escape and talk to people you haven’t talked to in a while, said Phùng. Sawyer Hannay, is a St. Thomas University graduate is a New Brunswick entrepreneur who recently won $150k for 10 per cent of his company on the CBC show, Dragon's Den. "The business was doing well without an investor," said Hannay. "I wanted to work with them, so I needed to structure a deal in a way where they could negotiate."
