Amenities like an on-call physician and 24/7 emergency response waiting for residents. In res...ponse to the pandemic: ALL staff are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing. All surfaces will be clean and hygienic and disinfected regularly. Regular and thorough hand-washing is enforced among our employees. Residents are the very first ones living in their new, clean suite! Communicative measures such as regular guidance and briefings at meetings, training on good respiratory hygiene in our building. Regularly filled hand-sanitizer dispensers are located around the building. Training for the proper disposal for all used PPE. Was it the right decision to make for this vibrant 86 year old widow? ... Yes, yes and yes! The staff have been welcoming and kind to my mother from the minute she stepped through the door. Her one bedroom suite is bright and well equipped, with excellent closet space and an impressive bathroom, and I’m at ease knowing a nurse is a quick tap away with an alarm type wristband plus on-site monitoring 24/7. She’s loving the meals and the selection she’s offered, especially the fruit at breakfast. And it’s quality, fresh fruit. The staff at Arabella adhere to strict Covid protocols. Moving her in during these difficult times had me worried about her sense of isolation... Not so! She’s doing two personal and Covid restricted fitness sessions a day with the recreation director, her meals are brought to her room, and she gets a daily visit from one of the nurses. I’m also allowed to visit every day, as her essential care giver, so my worries about her moving in during Covid were completely unfounded. My sisters and I are relieved to have made the right choice. We had toured some other retirement residences in the area, but it wasn’t until we found Arabella that we got excited about the prospect of moving Mom out of her home.
