Attention Albertans! Seems that there are a number of municipalities in Alberta that are pushing through new bylaws concerning the ownership of a number of exotic pets, particularly Reptiles and Arachnids and now is the time to get involved! These bylaws are generally put forward by people who are not well educated on the subject and all too often, those that are knowledgeable are not involved in the process. If you are a supporter of being able to keep these animals and no...t afraid to speak out, I would strongly advise you go to these meetings (which are open to speakers from the public) and educate your city or town council so that they can make responsible decisions. If you are not the public speaking type, you can still get involved by spreading the word to other hobbyists and rallying support or sendng petitions to council. Good luck everyone! See more
