Voici un jardin que nous avons planté il y a plus de 12 ans et qui donne un effet de sous-bois en plein coeur de la ville.

COPALME CANADA had the pleasure of participating in the first edition of the King and Queen of the Canopy organized by TreeStuff on October 7 and 8, 2017 in Dur...ham, North Carolina. The challenge we had was to pair competitors from Canada and France together. Jesse Bouchard-Nestor, a Québéquois competitor, was mixed in with Frenchmen, Stéphane Rat, Nathanaël Gros et Benoît Bouton to form French Touch for the occasion and were sponsored by FTC and Hévéa. Christophe Bredèche (kankrall nissegodreng) was official along with a large team of judges including: Greg Manning, Scotty Olsen, Chip Hidreth, Bob Ludders, Robert Albritton, Jeb Teutonwho followed the climbers: Doug Tochtrop, Brandon Dobnick, Flint Anderson, Cameron Ludin who made up the winning team Dark Gypsy Magic, along with Chad Brey, Chris Coates, Boel Hammarstrand, Gary Thacker, Shaun Cruse, William Cody Wallace, Steven Epps and many more whose names are at the tip of my tongue There were multiple games, where each team had a 6-9 minute period, depending on the stage of the competition, to install tokens into their tree. This was followed by a period switch, after which the removal period, also 6-9 minutes, would start in the opposite tree. Filming of the event took place with the use of two drones as well as a video camera on the ground. Hans J. Tielmann, one of the camera operators provided us with this video: Sneak Peek - King of the Canopy 2017 - TreeStuff.com The equipment was put to the test during twenty-one rounds in just two days for thirty-two competitors split into eight teams for a total of about 700 meters of rope access and several kilometers of limb walking. At the end of the first day, the team ''French Touch'' found themselves in first place standing. But by the end of the competition, they lost their standing to the team ''Dark Gypsy Magic'' who overtook in a final full of surprises! It was a gruelling competition that succeeded in forming bonds between competitors, judges and organizers alike, between the Americans, the French and the Canadians involved. We'd like to thank first and foremost, Nick Bonner, Head Official, for his welcoming, backed up by Carson Royer, Information and Media, who invited us to this extraordinary event. We'd also like to thank all the competitors, judges and, organizers for their patience with the language barrier. It was an absolute pleasure to meet again with old friends and to meet new ones. It was a weekend full of exchanges, which is one of the numerous objectives of COPALME.
