Arborwood Tree Service prides itself on delivering excellent service and expertise to its customers, with the safety of our stakeholders as our cornerstone. Our stakeholders are not just our clients, but also our team, neighbours, families, suppliers, fellow industry professionals, and our home communities. We feel that it is our responsibility to limit the risk of exposure to COVID-19 for everyone by taking steps to reduce risk and limit contact while still providing the sam...e excellent service our clients have come to rely on. Because we work outside, arborists are at a low risk threshold for the spread of COVID-19. This is a result of the ability to distance ourselves from our clients and co-workers in the normal course of work, and we do not spend extended periods in close contact. ALSO, ALL EMERGENCY TREE SERVICES WILL BE AVAILABLE 24 HOURS A DAY AND MESSAGES WILL BE MONITORED AND RESPONDED TO IN SEQUENTIAL ORDER. In order to further reduce our risks, we are implementing some new policy changes immediately: Any employee may self-isolate if they feel they cannot practice adequate social distancing in the normal course of work, for whatever reason. Employees are on a voluntary lay-off mode due to the lack of regular work. Employees returning from out-of-country are also being asked to self-isolate for 14 days upon their return and are NOT permitted to the workplace until that time has passed. Workers arriving on-site may take multiple Arborwood vehicles to ensure adequate social distancing and non-contact. Hand sanitizer (if available) will be provided on all work vehicles, and employees will be instructed on proper hand-washing techniques. Clients will be contacted via phone or email, rather than at the door if possible. Clients also have the right to decline our services should they wish. Employees are being asked to practice social distancing and risk-reducing hygiene at home and to extend this to their families as well. All of our policies will be assessed on a daily basis to ensure we are doing our utmost to protect everyones safety.

Friday was the kickoff for our first Radix Team give back day. We started at the Niagara Christian Gleaners where we had the opportunity I see how many hands make light work and to mingle with the community to prepare food for dehydration and delivery to all parts of the world from Africa to some remote indigenous areas right here in Canada! What a great way to spend a day with your team! #radixteam

We at @arborwoodtree would like to congratulate not only our co-oppotition in the workplace @diamondtreecare for their amazing display of tree climbing in the masters at the ontario tree climbing championship where @codymenken won first place and @joeldreise taking second!! A huge congrats with @iamgaudet for finishing third by a mere few points and as well to @chrissallows for killing it in the new ascent event and a good show in the masters. Past employee @kristastrating for winning the womens and a huge thanks to all the volunteers for a great turnout and competition venue especially old friend and colleague @logan_tree_experts and @quig_from_here for all the behind the scenes efforts with many volunteers to make it work!! Awesome job all!!!!

Today the crew is at Uncle Johns Place, a home that consumed much of my childhood memories, burnt toast, good spaghetti, specalassss cookies, got shot by a gun for the first time, listened to the Hobbit (which was really cool this week getting to spend time in the pub where that was conceived), transformers and sailboats!! Be safe guys.....
