There is nothing like finishing a project, its such a wonderful sense of accomplishment. Bonus was Ken came over and cut the back pasture so our tobbagan run will require less snow to be usable. Bring on the snow, sleds and bonfires, we're ready.

Excited about our weekend, Perry and Ken finished the winter chicken coop. We had Elmo come for a visit, and we celebrated Audries birthday a bit early, she is over the moon with her gift! Spent Halloween with Logan and handed out candy with Willow. Almost done the clean up of the last half acre we cleared, but the most exciting thing this weekend was Flower and Scotty had a date and if everything goes well she will be due to have babies at the end of March. Really looking forward to seeing what these two will produce, should be some fun, loveable and very dairy goats. Flower is our clown and Scotty our love bug when not in rut!

What a beautiful weekend so far! All the goats now have nice new stall mats to keep them dry. Penny got some time outside today by the fire and even walked to the barn and back. The Eagles are back, and a stunning Golden Eagle soared above today which just made me stop in awe of the beauty, we also had a Bald Eagle visit, lucky for us they're not hunting the hens with spawning season here. Kevin came by for a sleepover and popcorn s in our future! Feeling thankful this weekend as we wind down for winter.

We had our first breeding last week! Cedar Green Beam me up Scotty who brings great dairy lineage with larger teats and milk production to Happy Hoof Acres Dixie. In a perfect world I'll get a nice long doe with an improved udder and nice dairy characteristics. Keeping my fingers crossed, due date is March 9 -14.
