Hello VR explorers! Erik here owner of Arcadia VR, due to the events taking place we are changing our hours to accommodate the reduced traffic through our facility. With that being said, I am excited to share that we've found a way to put any idle computers to good use around the clock, we're joining a team of VR arcades around the world that are putting their computer's horsepower to good use cloud computing the folding proteins to aid in the search for a vaccine. So as of ...tonight our computers will be running 24/7 with the hope that we can provide some measure of aid in this global issue. We will continue to remain open to allow for awesome spring break experiences for everyone who comes by and we will be continuing to practice our intensive cleaning regiment (see the pinned post for a more in depth description of what that looks like). SPRING BREAK IS HERE! As a proudly locally owned and family operated business we are excited to provide an awesome experience for everyone that comes by this Spring Break. With the health concerns going on in the world right now, we are continuing to uphold our rigorous hygiene practices and have added additional precautions to ensure we provide both our staff and you, our guests, as fun, safe and enjoyable of an experience as we possibly can.... What we have always done: - Thoroughly sanitize all headsets and hand controllers after each person uses them. - Cleaning our facility regularly to ensure our customers feel confident in our facility. - Sanitizing all touch points within our facility daily. - Provide hand sanitizer for all to use. - Require our staff to regularly wash their hands or apply hand sanitizer. What we are doing now, in addition to our regular procedures: - Increasing the frequency of sanitizing all touch points to every hour or less. This includes (but is not limited to) touch screens, countertops, chairbacks, vending machine, water cooler, locker handles and keys, bathroom facilities, arcade machine controls, door handles and debit machines (after each transaction). - We have removed all community items such as our game binders, magazines, and shared colouring crayons. - We provide the option of additional sanitary headset face masks for anyone wishing to have an added layer of protection. - We have replaced our micro-fiber lens wipes with disposable one-use cleaning cloths. - Relocation of bathroom waste bins to ensure you can easily use your handwashing paper towels to open the door upon leaving. Arcadia Virtual Reality is a small capacity venue and individual social space between players is already built into our business model with players in separate physical booths while playing together only in the virtual world. We are dedicated to providing you with an amazing place to play, explore, and discover new realities. If at any time you have additional concerns or requirements, please let one of our VR Ambassadors know and we’ll make sure your requests are looked after.
