*INDOOR SEASON UPDATE* - Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the City of Windsor will not be opening any of the community centers. Our 2020 indoor season is cancelled. We will keep updating this page to bring you the latest news.

Here is a picture of our new range lay out. Archers will now have the ability to shoot up to 40 Yards at the same time others are shooting 10 Yards. Five moveable targets are set out, two more moveable targets will be added next week. We still have eight fixed targets set at 40 Yards to shoot or use as a backstop. Thank you everyone for your continued support. Its is because of all of you we can improve out shooting range.

We have been refraining from posting since we didn’t want to add to the flood of information already on social media and also because we were, ...like everyone, playing this crazy waiting game and trying to remain optimistic. But now, due to timelines, social barriers, logistics, finances and a million other things, we are officially having to cancel SCC 2020. Thank you so much to Shrewd Archery for always having our back as well as many other groups and businesses such as MJC Archery, Archery Windsor, Vortex Optics Canada, General Gun & Supply and countless others who we were looking forward to working with (we will be getting in touch with all our sponsors). Sorry everyone, don’t think we need to tell you how much this breaks our heart. We can’t wait to see all your wonderful, smiling faces in the (hopefully) not so distant future. Thanks.

Archery Lessons start tomorrow, we will have follow a pattern when shooting and retrieving arrows to keep 6' apart, we will be disinfecting the bows before each class and will have paper towels and sanitizer available to wipe between uses if required, keep in mind there may not be enough bows for everyone to use their own, as always you are welcome to bring your own bows for use. We will have hand sanitizer for use. If you bring exact change $5 per person there is no need to... handle money after you pay us, we accept cash only. If you need change again there is sanitizer for use. Our coaches will be wearing face covering as we get closer than 6' at times, if you would prefer our coaches to stay further back please let us know. Confirmed!! June 3rd will be the start date for regular shooting at the Amherstburg Target Sports Location. The will be some added safety measures to follow. Spreading out when shooting and extra cleaning by the club volunteers, the club house will be used for washrooms only for example. Wednesday nights kids/family 6:30-7:30pm, adults 7:30pm-dusk.

Thank you everyone that donated last night at our Christmas party. The total donations are as follows snack foods- 57 items ( I counted multi packs as one item), cans-14, gift cards - 1- Mc Donald's $10, 5- Mc Donald's $5, 1- Tim Hortons $10, 26- Tim Hortons $5 Great job everyone. Hey everyone! It's that time of year again and we have a few things left on the calendar. First up: This year we will be donating to the SANDWICH TEEN ACTION GROUP for Christmas! This Friday and next Friday we will be collecting items to drop off. Every person that brings items in for donation will be entered into a draw for a $200 credit for our ARCHERY WINDSOR MERCHANDISE (previously posted on the page items available).... Items that we are accepting include: Snack foods(individually wrapped granola bars, fruit snacks etc) $5 gift cards to Tim Hortons $5 gift cards to McDonald's Next up: Our Christmas party. FRIDAY DECEMBER 20TH. We will be having a fun night with balloon shoot prizes, and treats for everyone! Lastly: We are once again doing Mail Match. Cost is $8.50 for OAA members $10.50 for non-OAA members Shooting is at 20 yards Mail Match is shot once a week from now until the end of our season We *Do Not recommend Mail Match for Archers in their first year of shooting*. Mail Match is an indoor mail-in competition across ontario where we can compete against archers from other clubs! You shoot 10 rounds at 3 arrows per round and total your ring score after each round. Final score is submitted weekly and scores are posted online for all those competing. If you would like more information or would like to participate please speak to Jason at the club.

This Wednesday, September 18 will be our final outdoor archery night. The indoor season begins November 8 at Optimist Community Centre at 1075 Ypres in Windsor. The indoor season shooting fees are $85 for the season and must be paid in full before the first night. The season is Friday nights for 20 weeks. You may contact us at [email protected] to register or attend our registration night October 18 4-6pm at the Optimist Community Centre we normally sell out at the registration night as we have room for only 60 people. Thanks for a great outdoor season and hope to see everyone indoors.

Great weekend for the Archery Windsor instructors shooting some 3D archery. David made the long trip to the porcupine hollow shoot and came away with 15 under, Jessie, Jason and Melissa went to Tavistock District Rod and Gun Jason got 14 under, Melissa 1st place and Jessie 2nd place.
