Expected Responsibilities: Lead projects requiring primarily qualitative data collection, involving Indigenous engagement methodologies Coordinate the research work of multiple, fast- paced research teams, ensuring timelines and budgets are achieved Plan, evaluate, and conduct diverse research related tasks; Lead the implementation of research methods and processes to assure data quality.... Preparation and facilitation of written reports including: literature reviews, environmental scans, interim and final research reports Provide primary project liaison function to external clients Lead the weekly research team meetings Attend weekly project check-in with CEO and Managing Director Contribute, as required, to the creation of business development proposals Qualifications and key requirements Master’s Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in Indigenous studies, sociology, anthropology, geography, political science, or another relevant related field. Highly developed understanding of Indigenous communities, heritage, and worldviews. Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills in English. Knowledge of an Indigenous language or French is considered an asset. Experience in Indigenous Engagements such as facilitating focus groups, roundtables, or 1-1 interviews. Ability to lead research projects, interface with clients, staying on budget and coordinating a project team. Ability to manage and delegate tasks to a team of five or larger. Ability to set priorities and targets and to meet deadlines in relation to frequently changing demands. Ability to manage online filing systems and project management software. High degree of organization and attention to detail. Experience with quantitative and qualitative research approaches. This position is designated for an Indigenous applicant.
