A beautiful image of St. Joseph on his Feast Day. Taking the "night shift" and letting Mary rest - Glory of Home Life, pray for us!
Through this week's edition of the Friday Report, Archbishop Gagnon updates us on news regarding his latest meeting with the Provincial Government and other faith leaders, as well as the Years of St. Joseph and Amoris Laetitia. His Grace also touches on the news regarding Bill C-7 in our country and implores you to continue praying and having your voices heard to your Members of Parliament. He then answers questions about the Vatican’s latest note on same-sex attraction (6:11...) and changes to mass celebrations in St. Peter’s Basilica (11:08). Happy Feast Day of St. Joseph!
This Friday, March 19, is the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, our Archdiocesan patron. During the year of St Joseph, we invite all parishioners to pray the prayer which Pope Francis published in his Apostolic Letter, Patris corde. Prayers cards are being prepared and will be distributed to all in due course. In addition, this Friday marks the beginning of the year dedicated to the Family and Amoris Laetitia. The Archbishop will celebrate the Solemnity of St Joseph at St Peter’s Parish. The Liturgy will be live-streamed through the parish Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/stpeterrcchurch.ca.
"As we pray for the unity of Christians this year, we celebrate the theme given to us from the ecumenical monastic community of Grandchamp in Switzerland, Abide in my love and you shall bear much fruit (cf. John 15:1-17)." Thank you to Fr. Robert and his team at St. John XXIII Roman Catholic Church for hosting this event this evening! https://www.youtube.com/watch
Friends, join us for the Celebration of the Eucharist via our live-stream this morning from St. Mary's Cathedral. We look forward to praying with you! "And as he watched Jesus walk by, he exclaimed, Look, here is the Lamb of God!" - John 1:36... https://youtu.be/IwHz5fY6lTs
There is exciting news from Deacon Ted and his wife, Nancy: "As you may have heard, Nancy and I are leaving soon for England where we will work in a parish in London entrusted to the Chemin Neuf Community. Our commitment is for 18 months i.e. to June 2022."
