SMASH

Our last day with PWK High School was filled with laughter and games. This was a wonderful group with so many thoughtful questions about consent and healthy relationships! Thank you PWK High school and @NWT Métis Nation for the use of Roaring Rapids Hall in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories!

Our time with PWK High School continued with a fantastic group of insightful students. We held our workshop at Roaring Rapids Hall in @Fort Smith, Northwest Territories and had a blast using the stage for our theatre productions! Special thanks to @NWT Métis Nation for allowing SMASH to use the hall, and to PWK for working with us to provide physically distant workshops!

Last week, SMASH was invited to PWK High School in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories. We had an amazing, physically distant time with the young folks at this school. They had fantastic questions and we loved their enthusiasm! We also found our clear masks were a hit because folks could read our lips during the workshops!

SMASH and FOXY peer facilitators and facilitators attended the Tree of Honour Ceremony in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories to pay tribute to missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. Today is our Setsune's 80th Birthday! We thank our Elder, Jane Dragon of Fort Smith, Northwest Territories, for sharing her knowledge and skills with our Northern and Indigenous youth! Our SMASH Peer Leader Retreats and staff trainings are enhanced because of her kind, no-nonsense teachings! We hope you have a wonderful birthday, Setsune!
