Winter is approaching and we're excited! We're looking forward to a busy season as many companies will soon be starting winter programs that got cancelled/postponed last winter. With a lot of hard work from our team in some very challenging conditions we successfully completed a large ice road and ice pad project this winter. Thanks to our entire crew for working around the clock to get this finished on time.

Arctic Storm is starting projects in Fort McMurray between Jan. 29th and Feb. 2nd, and will require: 1. Snowmaking operators 2. Ice road pump operators 3. Snowcat operators... All personnel must have, or quickly be able to get the following certifications: 1. Standard first aid 2. H2S Alive 3. TDG 4. WHMIS 5. OSSA or BSO or CSO 6. Wildlife Awareness with bear awareness 7. With cold temperatures this week our Snow Cannon Snowmakers are really pumping out the snow.

Many projects that utilize winter access roads have multiple stream and pipeline crossings that require snow. If each of these areas only requires a small volume of snow, or if it's not possible to obtain a TDL to withdraw water at each of these locations, it's often more efficient to build a stockpile of snow. The snow can then be hauled to each area as required and can be saved for use at later dates. This way snow is always instantly available when it's needed. This is very beneficial so that equipment access is never delayed because a snow bridge is not in place due to a lack of snow.
