I have received a few phone calls this morning regarding a segment on CTV Toronto that discussed that some individuals were finding that their tax refunds would be paid out over 12 months. Although this was updated last night, I wanted to clarify to everyone that this is somewhat misleading in that the 12 month payment only applies to amounts refundable from programs such as the Ont. Energy and Property Tax Credit or the Ont. Senior’s Property Tax Grant and not amounts refundable from an overpayment of income tax.
