Still using XP? If you bring it to me for repairs, unless it's a shop computer with software that runs only on XP, I would be ripping you off if I even considered 'fixing' it for you. If you don't want to buy a newer OS like Windows 7 or 10, it will be whacked, formatted and changed to Linux Mint. Your files, music and pictures will still be there and work just fine, you'll be able to do email and Internet, you'll get a complete Office program, your computer will probably run a bit quicker, you won't have to pay for Mint OS and you'll never have to worry about viruses again. Don't be like my Mom who kept a 1967 Dodge wagon in the carport for 20 years on memories of how good it USED TO be....

Still using Windows 7? There are some PCs out there that simply will not upgrade to Windows 10, and many business systems that use software not proven on the new version still in use. Consider the last post: FIREFOX for surfing the Net. STOP using Internet Explorer, it hasn't been supported for a long time now and you will eventually have to learn to use a different one when you upgrade. Firefox Quantum is way faster and more secure than IE11. It doesn't send everything you do to Google like Chrome does by default.

Firefox 57 is here. Now incredibly fast, more secure and completely redesigned. If you haven't used it for a while, you may prefer it to Chrome.
