A year ago our New Year’s post started with 2020 we are ready for you! That made me snort laugh. While we weren’t ready for a global pandemic we were ready for the love, support and kindness from an amazing community. While everyone had different experiences in 2020 we likely all shared intense feelings of fear, worry, sadness, hope, joy and gratitude. ... And while there is still much uncertainty ahead we do know for certain that humans are resilient. We get knocked down and we get up again. We are best selves when we care for one another. And we can navigate the ups and downs with amazing people around us. Thanks to y’all from Josberth, Xavier and me (Leah) for helping us to continually get up again and to keep moving forward. Thank you health care workers, government officials who made mask wearing mandatory (no more speaking moistly) and all essential workers. Thank you to those in the non profit sector who worked tirelessly to help more and more people and animals in need. So yah 2021 we are ready for you! Particularly if day drinking is still acceptable from time to time. Happy New Year friends!
