A picture from a different life a few years ago... I had a choice to follow one career...or another...I decided to walk away from those opportunities recently. ...Instead, to follow my destiny with the unique gift God gave me. To dedicate my life to rehabilitating dogs of any level. Along my journey, I continue to have the honor to meet amazing people. People, whom their friendship means as much to me as it does the Joy I experience when I'm healing a dog's wounded furry Soul. Working with a traumatized dog is heartbreaking because it's almost always caused by ignorant/insecure/abusive people. I see their hurts. My intuition has been repeatedly called unique and outstanding. Having started out rehabilitating Great Danes, I'm fortunate to be recognized by the largest Great Dane Rescue in America. The oldest Great Dane Rescue in Canada. My associations with compassionate Rescue groups and orgs of all breeds is based on congruent perspectives...to share Pure Love. For our furry Loves that have gone... I made this meme soon after my beloved Lincoln passed away in my arms...I just had a feeling, when taking this picture, th...at Lincoln would die young... He passed away at 7 years old. I shared life with him for 1 1/2 years. He was my very first rehab...though I didn't know it at the time but Lincoln was my catalyst. He was an owner surrender with high aggression, high prey drive and reactive to people with their faces covered or wearing hats. At 154 lbs he presented me a significant immersion into my eventual path of rehabilitation of aggressive dogs. After a serious bone infection which bone grafts and pins did not help. In a span of 7 weeks, he became paraplegic. Then incontinent and I administered his urine catheters. I temporarily closed my (previous) business for 3 weeks. My heart was breaking. Lincoln passed away at the emergency hospital. Severe respiratory distress that occurred in his lungs of an undetermined mass...either cancer (doubtful) or pneumonia. We laid on the floor of a private room. Lincoln on his favourite blanket. I held his front paws in my hands. I looked into his eyes so he would not be afraid to die. I remember closing his eyes after...
