Well, there was a lineup at the October opening of the Highland Creek Collection and it was LONG. First in line were 20 brave souls who slept overnight to make sure that they secured a home in this exciting new Scarborough community east of Lawrence & Manse. All the homes were spoken for within three and a half hours!

Exciting news! Wascana Village is a healthy, planned community to be located a few minutes from Regina in the RM of Sherwood. We're one of the team dedicated to bringing Wascana Village about. Bike trails are built into Wascana Village's design along with parks, four lakes, waterfalls and a range of housing planned for everyone from families to seniors to students. Grocery stores, cafes, shops and services will be located so that residents can walk or bike there if they like. Even better, it's a self sustaining community with a water treatment facility and access to water resources.

Ever heard of the asbestos dress? In the rush to embrace what's new, sometimes we take chances with our health. Arfin Allen attended the Toronto launch of Imperfect Health, a provocative new book by the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CICA), at Evergreen Brickworks. Co-editor and CICA's contemporary architecture curator Giovanna Borasi talked about the historic impact of architecture, landscape design and urban planning on public health. Some great successes and some cautionary tales!

Richard Arfin and Barbara Allen talked to talented McMaster University communications students at a packed roundtable event in Hamilton, Ontario. Get to know a CEO! 250 young professionals had a chance to talk face- to-face with some of Canada's top CEOs on February 9 at Israel Cancer Research Fund's second annual Revolving Tables. Arfin, Allen was thrilled to create advertising and help with PR, to support some truly groundbreaking cancer research in Israel.
