It’s been a tough year for everyone, but with the holiday season approaching we’d still like to take the time to celebrate with you all! Though we can’t do it in person this year we’d like to ask for your support in joining us for a virtual celebration! Studio 3 is hosting a virtual Holiday get together on JANUARY 23rd, 2021 from 10:00am to 2:00pm with a few casting directors for an informal talk and Q & A. In addition, we will be giving away a variety of prizes donated by a various members of our acting community. Our speakers will include: - Catharine Falcon & Bim Narine speaking on MOW casting and answering your questions - Murdine Hirsch, Deb Barnes, & Vicki Passmore speaking and answering your questions on commercial casting - Sean Milliken discussing his time in commercial casting and doing a Q &A - Judy Lee discussing her experiences in casting and having a fun Q & A - Maureen Webb & Colleen Bolton discussing the do’s and don’ts of self taping Each team will be speaking for about an hour and the Q & A section will be moderated by Casting Workbook! Each talk will be a loose informal and fun discussion. We'd love to hear all about what you've been up to!... Despite everything going on, we want to continue providing for our artistic community and have been organizing classes and workshops that will be available in an online-format! From voice-over to make-up classes, and everything in-between! The majority will be acting focused, but some will also be available for non-actors! We're all in this together so we've reduced our rates. As you're a part of the Shoreline Squad, you'll be the first to know when everything launches later this month. Pay What You Wish Wednesdays Keep an eye out for special courses that fall under this day as all proceeds will be donated to organizations such as the Greater Vancouver Food Bank! We're here for you. We got into the film biz cause we are passionate about it! We love the community and want Shoreline Studios to be a safe place for you to ask any question, however big or small. So I am really considering whether or not to post an actors success on this page as recently three of my booking clients have received solicitations from Kirk Talent asking them to switch agencies. I am calling them out and naming them as this is not cool.... I don't poach. I will not attempt to "Lure" actors to my roster. when a represented actor approaches me I tell those actors that they should talk to their existing agents if they are unhappy and to contact me when they either are free or have an agreement that they are leaving. I have been on set many many times with my daughters and I don't abuse the privilege by going after your clients. This industry is and will grow faster if we support each other. As we are unregulated we must rely on ourselves to monitor our own actions Its a cess pool if we don't Id love to be able to cheer about my fabulous hardworking and talented roster. Hard to do it if you know it gets you targeted
