Last January, I packed up my 3-week old son (and Baba Christine Zwozdesky) and hauled us all down to Kelowna for a week of amazing rehearsals and performances with the Garycableproject and the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra. The musicians on this project are truly world-class and although we were devastated to cancel many more performances throughout 2020, Gary has put together this amazing VIRTUAL concert to witness The Project from your own home. Thank you Gary for includin...g me in the band and in this virtual project! I am grateful to perform with such unbelievable players, whether live or recorded! The virtual concert goes live FRIDAY, JANUARY 29TH! It's been a roller coaster of emotion for me in the last few weeks. Starting a new business has been exciting, challenging, uplifting and defeating all at once. Then I saw this picture from 12 months ago. It reminded me that if I was determined and dedicated enough to do a 3-city orchestra tour just 3 weeks after having a baby, I can probably overcome whatever small challenges I'm facing now.... Big thanks to the Gary Cable Project and the @okanagansymphony for this amazing memory. Please watch out for the #garycableproject virtual concert on January 29th. Tickets are $10 for the virtual concert or $20 for the concert and post Q&A with the me and some of the other INCREDIBLE musicians on this project. Click the link for tix and read more about us below: https://app.gign.ca/view-show/UbRercVOdg0cpWPx143a Described as "Legendary Music by Legendary Musicians", the Gary Cable Project is a 9-piece Pop/Rock band with full horn section, comprised of ‘A-List’ live & session musicians who have performed & recorded with the likes of Barbra Streisand, Gino Vanelli, Bryan Adams, Michael Bublé, The Pointer Sisters, David Foster, Natalie Cole, Chris de Burgh, Stuart Copeland, Chilliwack, Powder Blues, Colin James, Ian Tyson, Sarah McLachlan, Ray Charles... too many music legends to name! All live, all real, all-stars! But this time, recorded at (socially-distant) locations across #Canada! The Gary Cable Project performs classic hits from the 'Golden Age' of Pop/Rock #Chicago, #Lighthouse, #Toto, Blood Sweat & Tears, #Supertramp, #EarthWindandFire and more!

Hey all! Say hi to Uptown vocalist, Ariana Whitlow. She learned early to play to her strengths... "I come from a very musical family. Anyone who celebra...tes special occasions with us is usually treated to at least 15 minutes of 4-part choral singing...and that's just us getting through Happy Birthday in four different languages... Growing up, it was encouraged for us to take piano lessons, which admittedly were a struggle for me. I really wanted to play pop music, so I didn't put a lot of time into practising Mozart. I was about 10 years old and at another dreaded piano lesson when my teacher (who is WONDERFUL. I'm just an arse) decided to do some ear training with me. After hearing me sing melodies back to her, she strongly suggested I should switch to taking voice lessons... That moment stuck in my mind for a long time. I was always a little embarrassed to admit how much I loved singing. I thought I wanted to be a dancer so I put a lot of my time into that before I realised that I couldn't escape my love for belting out a tune. I started taking singing seriously when I turned 17, and I wish I had listened to my instincts and started earlier. Sometimes you gotta pay more attention to signs from the universe...and trust your piano teachers..." @ArianaWhitlow See more

If you're still clinging to the feeling of Christmas, the FULL VERSION of The Greatest Gift Of All is up! Singing this with Terrell Edwards has been on the to-do list for quite some time and I'm really excited about how this recording turned out. Thanks T for including me in your Spread Love For The Holidays program in support of the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton. Big thanks to Nathaniel Goselwitz who smashed this video and made my living room look really elegant, despite the playpen and lego.
