Our next game in our October line-up is Catacombs of Karak! What lies beneath the crumbling walls of Karak castle? A labyrinth full of treasures... and monsters! Six brave adventurers are going in there for a fortune waiting to be claimed, each one of them with a different trick up their sleeve. But the treasure chests are locked and monsters are everywhere. Who will outsmart their opponents, beat the monsters and seize the dragon’s gem? In Karak each player will lead one of ...the six different characters to the labyrinth of Karak. Tile by tile, they’ll uncover what the labyrinth looks like it will be different in each playthrough. They’ll have to fight with monsters, equip with weapons and spells, and most importantly collect treasure. The player with the most treasure at the end of the game is the winner a true champion of Karak! Catacombs of Karak plays 2-5 players, ages 7+
Next up in our October Spook-fest line up is Mysterium! Each player plays as mediums as you communicate with a spirit that's played by a helpful (or unhelpful) player who wants to aid the mediums in naming suspects and identifying their killer while only being able to answer the mediums guesses and interacting with items and locations. Mysterium plays 2-7 players, age 10+
Next up in our October Horror Game feature is EXIT: The Catacombs of Horror! Gloomy vaults lie under the city of lights. The catacombs of Paris swallow the light, secrets, and apparently also people. After the mysterious disappearance of a friend in the catacombs, players in Exit: The Game The Catacombs of Horror embark on a mysterious search through the underground labyrinth. Will players be able to find their friend in time and escape this cavernous world full of dark mysteries? Like other titles in the series, Exit: The Game The Catacombs of Horror includes components meant to be folded, written upon, or torn, so it's marketed as a single-use game. What's different in this game is that it consists of two parts, with each part being its own challenge.
What better a time than a cold day to get a new Board Game! Come on down and check out our selection of cozy two player games or some of our popular family games!
The latest game in our October Horror Game feature is Arkham Horror: The Card Game! In the game, you and your friend (or up to three friends with two Core Sets) become characters within the quiet New England town of Arkham. You have your talents, sure, but you also have your flaws. Perhaps you've dabbled a little too much in the writings of the Necronomicon, and its words continue to haunt you. Perhaps you feel compelled to cover up any signs of otherworldly evils, hampering ...your own investigations in order to protect the quiet confidence of the greater population. Perhaps you'll be scarred by your encounters with a ghoulish cult. No matter what compels you, no matter what haunts you, you'll find both your strengths and weaknesses reflected in your custom deck of cards, and these cards will be your resources as you work with your friends to unravel the world's most terrifying mysteries. Arkham Horror: The Card Game is appropriate for ages 14+ Available in store for $59.99 (+ tax)
October is Spooky Season! So with that creeping up, here's another Spooktacular game for you called Gloom! In Gloom, your goal is sad, but simple: Make your freakish family suffer the greatest tragedies possible before passing on to the well-deserved respite of death, and tell the tale of their miserable demise. Play cards with horrible mishaps on your own character to lower their self-worth scores, while cheering your opponents with happy occasions that pile on positive points. Clear plastic cards reveal or cover up the effects of cards below. The totals showing through give your score. May the most miserable soul win!

Our 4th horror game this month is Blood Bound! In Blood Bound, a deduction game played in 15-30 minutes, players assume the roles of members of two clans the brutal, animalistic warriors of the Clan of the Beast and the graceful, deadly members of the Clan of the Rose and (with an odd number of players) the human inquisition. Disguised by a secret identity, they try to kidnap the Elder of the opposing clan or give their lives for the benefit of their own Elder. Malicious attacks, aimed indiscretions, and assistance from others will slowly uncover the truth: Who fights for whom? And who is the Elder?
