We have been asked regularly about the rules in reference to funeral services during these difficult times. How many people can be at the funeral home? Can I have a reception? Am I allowed to hug? As a basic rule, and to protect our staff and the families we serve, we have adopted a few new policies. These include: increased staffing levels, enhanced cleaning, social distance floor markings, logging and screening of all guests, preferring only 2 people to attend funeral arrangements and occupancy limits to name a few. You can be assured we are taking the necessary steps to protect us all. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (our governing body) has created this handy chart to show what the stipulations are for funeral services with regard to the COVID 19 colour coded framework.
