A special thank you to Malcolm for his recent donation! Malcolm baked up a storm for National Cupcake Day and raised the money by selling his delicious cupcakes to his family and friends. Thanks for helping out the animals Malcolm!! We appreciate your kindness!

We appreciate that this is not an easy time right now. We, as well as other rescues and non profit organizations have been hit very hard. The majority of our funds come from donations and fundraising, both of our income sources have been severely affected by Covid. To make matters worse one of our ambidexerous cats decided that the shelter could use an indoor pool. They somehow managed to turn on a tap - after hours of course - and flood one of our main cat rooms, the office..., bathroom and hallway. She is up for adoption, please inquire! Our staff was greeted in the morning with water pouring out the front door. Needless to say it has done a large amount of damage to the shelter. Fortunately, we have insurance, but of course it doesn't cover all of the damage (always read the fine print). We are doing our very best to keep the day to day expenses covered and continue to provide the best possible care for the pets currently calling the shelter home. To say this event has set us back is an understatement. To put it simply: We could use some help! These are challenging times and we understand if folks are not able to make a donation. We get that! If you are in a position to help us, please go to Canada Helps https://www.canadahelps.org//arnprior-and-district-humane- or send an e-transfer to [email protected]. Any donation over $20 will be issued an income tax receipt, if sending an e-transfer please include your mailing address and email, all receipts will be issued at year end unless otherwise requested. If you could share this post as well, that would be wonderful! Thank you, stay safe and keep well!
