Due to COVID-19 our Nursing Home has had to postpone all fundraising events. Tanner's Independent Grocer has come to the rescue and is accepting donations at th...e cash. Donations will be used for the residents holiday fund, to purchase gifts and plan the Christmas and New Years parties that the residents look so forward to. If you are able to add a couple of dollars to your grocery bill it would be greatly appreciated. See more

UPDATE: 12:00 PM: CAVALCADE HAS LEFT TORONTO: Manitoulin OPP Constable Marc Hovingh is on his way home. The Espanola Legion will have an honour guard beginning at 4:30. The inside curb lane of Highway Six in Espanola will be closed. Legion members will be joining the fire department and other organizations of Espanola lining up from Sime Street going south on Centre Street. Legion members are asked to meet at the hall at 4:00 pm, in uniform if possible. The general public is asked to wear blue or a blue ribbon in homage to the fallen officer. When the procession crosses the Swing Bridge in Little Current, it will make it's way down Meredith Street to the intersection of Meredith and Worthington Street and then turn left towards the Island Funeral Home in Little Current. http://www.aroundandabout.ca/manitoulin-opp-constable-marc/

This is one of the hardest working group of ladies we have ever met! Our hospital Auxiliary was able to raise $30,000 to put toward the X-Ray campaign! They knit, crochet, bake, make the best soups ever, all to give back to our hospital. Thank you for all you do!
