Late nights, although my kids are forcing me into becoming an early riser Where would you like to travel? Basque, Spain. My hubby and I had dreamt that we would travel here for our honeymoon, but we decided to completely gut and renovate our century home instead. Who would win in a fight? Apparently me, although Candace can be pretty scrappy when she wants to be What is the worst design trend? Grey on grey on grey on grey, don’t get me wrong I love this neutral tone (like A LOT), but there has to be more to the story. Who are your heroes? Just can’t get enough of this burnt orange lately....upholstery, wallpaper, warm and rich toned hardwood. Complimented with shades of blue or deep forest green and of course layered with a wide tonal range of neutrals. It’s definitely bold, but so warm and approachable when used in the right places.

Early mornings 100%... anyone who knows me, knows I’m the first to quietly dodge out of a party come 10pm Where would you like to travel? Anywhere other than my house since Covid.. but ideally, I would go to the beaches in Cannes France Who would you love to design a house for? Dead or alive. Umm.. Obviously Steven Tyler (is that even a real question??) Who would win in a fight? Christine.. hands down What is the worst design trend? Crown molding Who are your heroes? Umm.. well first that comes to mind is my grandma! Anyone who lives 97 years and still is kickin’ it deserves to be everyone’s hero! Who would win in a race? Picking stone from farmers field.. legit the worst job EVER. Job you learned the most from? We love this quote, it really just speaks to our design aesthetic and approach to every space we touch. As most of you know we both started our creative journeys in painting and drawing and find so much inspiration in approaching spaces the same way you would a painting where by the finished piece is completed through the layering of texture, colour, and line. You may not see all these things when you look at the finished piece, but without one, the others may feel flat and unfinished. And sometimes, just sometimes all the stars align and two little girls who met on a school bus one day in grade 4, build an incredible friendship...fast forward 25 years and the rest is history.

We haven’t posted a lot about this project because to be honest it’s been a marathon, in a good way and we’re thrilled with how everything has come together. 4 model homes all in a row scheduled to be completed in April. These are our original mood boards for each home, to showcase a unique style, targeting a different demographic. Stay tuned for project hashtag, but in the mean time, which design speaks to you?
