Just want to say a huge thank you to my Snow Angels who helped me out twice today! A gentleman who gave me a push on the Golf Course side! Thank you for stopping and a huge shout out to the Montrose Crew who shoveled and pushed me out later on! Amazing people in this Town!! Sorry to anyone who called and didn’t get picked up. A few we couldn’t get up their street and were unable to contact. Mother Nature gave us a good run for our money today

Thank you High River!!! We have an amazing Community! Update: ** 2nd update! Wow! What a day, I never expected what happened today. The offers of help and the folks that showed up to help were unreal. When we were shopping today we had 4 people offer donations! By time I got to the warehouse from my first shop at Dollarama we had enough basket balls and body wash sets and I hadn’t gotten any yet! When I went to Shoppers they had almost none! I heard Canadian Tire was g...etting cleaned out and folks were also at Walker’s Western Wear and Mark’s! Lots of local shopping was happening today! I’m so glad that these businesses that support us were also supported today. Our doors revolved with wonderful donations all day long. We are in good shape to start our deliveries tomorrow and finish up our gift hampers. You all came through in a big way and we appreciate it so very much! * 1st Update! Thank you Foothills! What an amazing response we have had! We are now ok for men’s body wash sets and basket balls. (If you already have it to drop off we will take them though!). We would love clothes and pjs for sizes 7-8 youth all the way up to adult size XL for girls and boys. Bedding, blankets, comforters, craft kits, lego, barbies and hot wheels are also great ideas. #grateful I have 3 more days to pack Christmas hampers for 120 children. I have volunteered with the Salvation Army for 7 days so far and reviewed gifts for about 330 children in the Foothills. I have seen Christmas lists with lego and Barbies, and wish lists with winter boots, twin bedding and diapers. We do our best each year to ensure children have some wonderful gifts on Christmas morning. We have had so much help, many volunteers, and donations and I am grateful. But I need more help High River, we are very short on donations in general. In particular I don’t have anything left to pack for a teenage boy. No Basketballs or soccer balls. No socks, no clothes, no body wash sets. No model cars or building sets. If you are able to help with any donations we are working in the old shoppers building across the street from the Salvation Army. I am there from 9am to 7pm until Friday night. Feel free to message me if you want more info or can help out. We have an amazing Town full of generous folks, I know we can pull this together. I’d even do the shopping if you can help. This project means a lot to me, it’s my 5th year working as the volunteer coordinator and I am so very thankful for all the support.
