Did you know when it come to furnace filters a good rule of thumb is to change 1-2 inch filters every three months, 4 inch filters every six months and 5 inch filters every 12 months. When the filter is visibly dirty and you cant see the material of the filter itself then if for should be replaced. A tip to remember is to write the date you replaced the filter on the side if it. Then you will always have a date to refer back to.
