Update - March 25, 2020 Do you have HST payments and Payroll remittances due? Continue reading for important information. The payment extension announced in the Stimulus package only applies to income tax and not HST payments and payroll remittances or any other type of remittance.... Penalties and interest are assessed if the payments are received after their due date, not based on when they are mailed. Currently, it is not possible to deliver payments to the Charlottetown Canada Revenue Agency due to the Covid 19 restrictions in place, so payments should not be dropped off at our office as we cannot guarantee when Canada Revenue Agency will receive the payments as any payments would have to be sent by mail to Canada Revenue Agency in Sudbury. Payments can be made at financial institutions (they will need the remittance voucher) or on-line.
