I just came across a beautifully written post about yesterday's election results ... (post credit to Pam Rivet) People who voted for the Liberals are not idiot...s. People who voted for Conservatives are not idiots. People who voted for the NDP, Green Party, PPC, or Bloc are not idiots. We are Canadian. We are 37.5 million people (give or take a few) who have our own beliefs, values, backgrounds and experiences. None of us are wrong for that, whether any of us like the results of the election or not. By calling people idiots or morons for doing exactly what they have the right to do as Canadians, just because they don't believe or want the same things as you do, shows me that people are disconnected from what it means to be Canadian. Whichever party you side with, we all want the same thing - to be a better country. Nobody is an idiot for wanting that. The Canada I grew up in is one where we respect our neighbours. Let’s hang on to that, eh?
