We used a classy colour palette for our Vaughan estate: Black & White...and Grey! Each colour is then broken down to different shades, by the use of different materials. How many materials can you find? Whites: Leather on the diamonds, millwork on the trims, concrete on the mantel. Blacks: Stone on the fireplace wall, metal on the shelves. Greys: Velvet fabric on the doors, stone on the floors.... The texture of each material modestly contributes to the "feeling of the space". He played as a child in his uncle's garden Shizilin in Suzhou, China, the hometown of our designer Paul Chen. His work was a poem written by geometry and form.
