Meet our Satan for SYFY mostly worked on the applications of Satan throughout production, but I also worked primarily on the furred and hoofed stilt legs. This was also a cool project for me, as I was able to bring my foster pup to the shop and get her used to working in that setting. @syfy LETTERS TO SATAN CLAUS. We started this project back in the shop at the beginning of 2020..we started filming in March of 2020..and well, production was halted as a result to COVID-19. It was such a bizarre feeling. We were somehow able to resume filming during the late summer, and the film was released on #syfy in December. I’d best describe this film as a ‘Horror-Hallmark. Are you training her for you? Or for someone else? I was asked at the clinic. It’s amazing because NO, she is not for me, however, I really did reap the benefits of her training this week! And so so proud of how she’s been doing. So, Incase you’ve missed it, on Wednesday, a quick trip for work supplies turned into an actual trip and a broken ankle. I had Emma with me, and thankfully she was already geared up to work. All I can say is, I’m so glad that all the work I p...ut in with her paid off more than I could’ve imagined. After my fall, without processing what had happened, in complete shock, I drove myself on a back road to get to a walk in clinic. We arrived safe. Attempting to walk from the car to the clinic door was a struggle.. Emma patiently matched me step for step, waited with me while I needed breaks, and seemed to genuinely understand what was going on as I propped myself up and dragged myself along any counter, shelf, car, wall I could find. I finally make it to the sign in desk! We are not taking walk ins today.. my heart sank, panic set in, I didn’t know what to do or where to go. The receptionist quickly realized what was happening and told me they’d find time. We waited for nearly two hours, but Emma did not take her eyes from me. It was only when I finally started to calm down 1.5hours in (and pain subsided from sitting) that Emma tucked herself perfectly under my chair for a quick rest. As soon as the doctor said Sara Emma looked at me, and was standing waiting by my side before I’d even realized they’d called my name. Emma sat at my left foot while the Dr examined my right, and even though another human was in our bubble, Emma was solely focused on me. Love my girl, and am so proud of how she responded.
