It’s time for #tbt! This week it is Andrzej Pradzynski who was the featured artist of our 26th exhibit, which was on display from March-June 2018. Artist statement: NJ (Andrzej) Pradzynski is an experienced amateur photographer/artist based in Burlington Ontario. Andrzej is affiliated with Latow Photographers Guild the camera club that is associated with Art Gallery of Burlington. Recently he’s a leader of a Studio Group and serves as the president of Latow. A physicist by ...background and a technology engineer for a living NJ got a serious hobby - through his childhood, adult life and up to now the art of photography was his great fascination and excitement. NJ specializes in a variety of genres, from portraiture, fashion and beauty, to moody landscapes and street photography. NJ likes to recreate moments that are odd and are loaded with surreal-based associations to build or enhance the story told in his work. His pictures were published in National Geographic (Viajes), Canadian Geographic, PhotoLife, Outdoor Photography Canada, and Good Times. This specific show is entitled Morphing the pictures presented here were selected from his Blurred Reality collection. For this series Andrzej is using his own selective blurring approach to create painterly pictures where blurred elements are mixed with the real images captured by his camera. https://pradzynski.ca/ You can view the rest of the 26th exhibit on our website: https://www.artintheworkplace.ca/exhibits-qreserve

Artist Kim Clark tells us, painting takes me to a quiet place, and allows me to get in touch with my true self. Clark works primarily in acrylic, as the quick drying time allows quick working to capitalize on mood and flow of the piece. Recent work has been based on a love for books and wood which incorporates birch bark and book pages.

Our #tbt this week is Karlene Bland who was the featured artist of our 20th exhibit, which was on display from March-July 2016. Artist statement: My first training was as an accountant/auditor but I later picked painting up as a hobby which then turned into my full-time obsession. I so love encapsulating encounters with the beauty of nature or people and children, to be remembered and relived with pleasure at another time, be it now or generations to come. Use of vivid color...s is the language I employ to express the mood of my subject matters which I find way more stimulating to paint from life's observations. Manipulating with paint and textures in the studio is just as exciting and exploratory, allowing my imagination to play itself out. I would love to help you recreate your special moments and memories of loved ones, vacations, encounters and life-events. https://www.karleneblandfineart.com/ View the rest of exhibit 20 on our website: https://www.artintheworkplace.ca/exhibits-qreserve
