With restrictions lifting and return of the library lessons will look to resume next week at there regular times Thursday. As well private lessons will once again be available!

Today’s free giveaway! I found two Plants vs Zombie comics downtown on my usual hunt for books for kids! Simply to get them draw me your favorite character! Plant or Zombie! Pick up will be at the Public Library Thursday 5-6pm! Good luck! If I get two submissions I will split the books between the two artists!

Dear Families! My favorite time of year is back! Free comic book day!! This years host is the Medicine Hat Public Library. Comic readers is sponsoring gift certificates. (They will not be handing out free comics this year) but don’t forget to show them some love and take your kids there! Why is Free comic book day great? Because it gives you kids a chance to embrace art and and introduction into drawing! Grab a comic take it home and draw from it! Create your own character...s and stories! They will be hosting two activities. A scavenger hunt for families or friends. Groups can be 1-6 individuals. I don’t believe it has an age limit on it. Second there is a cartooning class held at the public Library from 2-3pm (limit 10 kids ages 12-19) You must register online to participate. The class will be hosted via Zoom for those who want to participate at home. If you are downtown and just want a free comic than the Library is the place to be!

Looking for 3 participants for the Inktober challenge! Ages 6-9 10-12 13+ It starts tomorrow and it’s a very tough to complete! I believe the younger kids will have fun and success well the older kids might overthink it! If a few parents would like to volunteer their kids to participate please let me know! I have posted the official prompt list below! We start with Fish! With any words that younger kids can’t draw we can replace them with a friendlier prompt! (List is a general suggestion for adults)

Hey everyone! This is for ages 6-10 I have collected 10 Hey Clay packages to give away! This makes for a great two part lesson. Character creation with clay Part two draw your character! ... To enter simply submit your hey clay creation. Can be clay or a drawing! Deadline is September 17th! Good luck everyone!
