Title: The Sound of Silence Medium: digital Painting It was a quiet day in Skidegate back in March when the people of Canada were advised to stay home. There was no sound of cars, people, planes or boats, all human activity seemed to stop completely. Even the birds were quiet, the silence was almost deafening like on a winter day when the heavy snowfall absorbs all sound. At that moment in time it felt like every person on the planet was focused on the same thing.

Title: Blue on Black Medium: Digital Painting Part of my reason for creating this body of work is to further my study of human behavior through my own experiences and by observing others. These works are meant to show how Covid-19 has effected the way we think and act, but also how some behaviors have remained the same as I choose subjects that I feel are relavent and important in this historical moment. This work is meant to bring attention to the most recent death of an African-American man in the United States due to Police Brutality and senseless racism.

Title: Time Warp Medium: Digital Painting Statement: For the first couple of months during the pandemic I lost all sense of time, there was a point at which I wasn't even sure what month it was. It made me realize how regulated our time is by our jobs and every day responsibilities.
