Terrific portraiture timelapse video by a familiar artist.

Siham Salah, is an Edmonton resident, who has found a peaceful distraction from the fast pace world of computer science by embracing her love for brushes, colours and paper. "I paint mostly using gouache paint which is an opaque, pigmented medium, slightly similar to watercolours. My inspiration for my paintings comes from the world around me. A lot of my paintings are based on photos I've taken throughout my life, from sunsets and parks to busy streets just here in Edmonton. By painting, I can transform and recreate moments that bring me joy in life. By sharing, I hope to inspire others to do the same." Siham Salah

"I was in a high school which had a strong emphasis on the arts. I learned sketching, sculpture, metal engraving, painting, lino carving and printing, as well as drama, music and singing. I also pursued my interest in art on my own over the years. Some of my skills were learned from my mom who was an architect." Yael Neville is an artist and humanitarian who lives in the inner city, and whose dedication and hard work has brought to light her savant-like talent and insights. This Wednesday, we feature a video produced by Streetprints Artist Collective and Boyle/Bissell Centre Coordinator Mike Siek documenting the unique works and resourceful ways of a survivor and creator who has found ways to flow through her expressive mediums.

Grant Smith explains the steps and approach he takes in producing illustrations for his comic book "Cemetery Inn". This video helps to understand how it all breaks down and works together to create a compelling visual and story.
