On behalf of Huckleberry Coast Childcare and the Arts Building, our board would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the Sunshine Coast Community Foundation for sponsoring the Art & Play Garden expansion project. With a generous donation of $6,000, we were able to create a more dynamic space with the daycare children and also the broader community in mind. The new additions to the garden include an all-weather play shelter and water catchment barrel, a slide, a new sand ...pit, a cement tunnel, fresh plants, outdoor storage for equipment and beautiful cedar benches. In upcoming months, we hope to include some more public art into the garden as well. This project was also made possible by sponsorship from the Gibsons Public Art Gallery! Without their help as a registered charity, we wouldn’t have been eligible to apply for the grant. We look forward to seeing how everyone enjoys the updates in the upcoming months!
