ArtsLink NB knows it’s been a very difficult year for everyone, and the arts community has been especially hard-hit by all the cancellations due to COVID-19. Our staff have been panic buying local since the beginning of the pandemic, and we want to encourage our audience to buy from local artists as well. To that end, we’re running an online artist shop promotion in advance of Christmas. If you’re an artist and have an online shop you’d like us to feature, please send an emai...l to [email protected] with a short description and a link to your shop. If you’ve got a discount code for us, feel free to add that as well. We’ll be collecting links until Monday and we will start featuring them all through December. In the meantime, check out the fantastic gift guide put together by our friends over at NB Made: https://nbmade.ca/pages/2020-holiday-gift-guide Happy holidays!

From board games and books to long division and video games. With a background primarily in retail management, she has mastered the art of customer service and strives to learn something new every day. Born and raised in Saint John, Hailey has evolved with the city's ever-changing la...ndscape and growing charm. She is a big advocate for the importance of arts education in schools, and at home, in the hopes that her children will always have a creative outlet for self-expression. Bhavya Pratap Malhotra is our new communications coordinator. He is a full time international student at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, and is pursuing a double major in English and economics, with a minor in theatre and drama. Even in the midst of a global pandemic, the AAAPNB, ArtsLink NB, and Mawi’Art: Wabanaki Artist Collective, still managed to join forces and hold a second Cross-Cultural Creation Residency between an Acadian artist, an anglophone artist, and an indigenous artist in New Brunswick. Of course, this year’s program was slightly altered due to the pandemic and comprised of a two-week-long residency at the Saint John Arts Centre. Through this residency, artists had the opportunity to... create new work while immersing themselves in the artistic process of fellow artists. To learn more about David Champagne and Dan Smeby, two of the artists who participated in this year's residency, you can read interviews with them on the ArtsLink NB website by clicking the links below! https://artslinknb.com/interview-with-david-champagne/ https://artslinknb.com/interview-with-dan-smeby/
